Factory Five Kit Cars are shipped globally, but understanding the transport options from our Wareham, MA facility is crucial. This guide outlines key information for getting your kit car home, whether you choose shipping or pickup.
Kit Car Shipping with Stewart Transport
Many Factory Five customers opt for shipping through Stewart Transport (602-242-1800). Contact Collin Stewart for a quote. They provide convenient door-to-door delivery for a flat rate, utilizing dedicated trucks equipped with electric cranes. This eliminates the need for a crate, simplifying the process. Remember, Stewart Transport is an independent company.
Picking Up Your Kit Car at Factory Five
Picking up your kit car directly from our Factory Five facility is free of charge. Kit completion dates are typically scheduled for Saturdays. We can also arrange weekday pickups (Monday-Friday) following the completion date. Picking up your kit car eliminates the crating fee. Before your scheduled pickup, confirm the date with our staff and review trailer dimensions to ensure a smooth process. Keep us informed about any changes to your pickup plans.
Kit Car Shipping via Commercial Freight
For those who prefer commercial freight, we can ship your kit car in a custom-built crate via your chosen carrier. We collaborate with major freight companies like Yellow and ABF. The crate dimensions are 16’ L x 52” H x 6’6” W, weighing 1650 lbs. Constructed with a robust 4” x 4” lumber base, ¾” tongue-in-groove plywood floor and top, and reinforced 2” x 4” with 3/8” sheet plywood sides, the crate ensures safe transport. Forklift or pallet jack access is available from both the front and rear. A crating fee applies, reflecting the quality and durability of the crate.
